Food and non-perishables Collection for our Kau neighbors

DESCRIPTION:Aloha Kai 'opua members and ohana,
Kai 'opua member Tom Pyne is organizing a collection of items for our neighbors in Ka'u that have endured extreme hardship due to the most recent storms.
They are recovering but still are in need of:
Canned goods such as vegetables, meat, fish, pasta sauce or prepared pasta, dry goods such as rice, pasta, breakfast cereal, protein snacks/crackers, non-perishables.
Hygiene items such as Diapers, toilet paper, Lysol wipes, etc.
Bottled water is always welcome.
Drop off will be at Kai 'opua canoe halau at Old Airport between noon and 2 pm Sat. September 26, 2026.
Let's show our support for our neighbors down south.
