Uncle Bo's Celebration of Life
— February 16, 2019 —
Come and celebrate the life of Uncle Bo, an outrigger canoe race legend who worked tirelessly to perpetuate the sport of outrigger canoe paddling. Paddling was the heart of this wonderfully dedicated man. He will be forever missed.

9:00 am Blessing Courtyard Marriott King Kamehameha’s Kona Beach Hotel, Luau Grounds 9:30 am Paddle Out from Kamakahonu Beach and Kailua Pier For those who prefer to be on a motor yacht, boarding will be on the Kailua Pier, at the TSA area. Contact Mike Atwood at (808) 937-3255 if you will be trailering canoes to the pier. Parking will be available in back of the hotel for those bringing OC1 and OC2.
Following the Paddle Out, gather at the hotel Luau Grounds for pupus and music.1:00 pm Eulogy and Video Tribute. Please, no outside alcohol. If you need overnight accommodations, contact the hotel at (808) 329-2911 for the “Uncle Bo” rate of $179/night on Feb 15 and 16 (space available).
