Special Statement About Uncle Bo...

— December 5, 2018 —

It is with a heavy heart that Kai Opua Canoe Club confirms that Lawrence “Uncle Bo” Campos is terminally ill. As President of our club, and long time member of the Hawaii paddling community, Uncle Bo has touched the lives of thousands of paddlers around the world and navigated us all to incredible new heights.

Uncle Bo is at home with his nephew, Mike Nakachi, and family, with the assistance of North Hawaii Hospice.

Mike Nakachi: 808-640-3871, mikenakachi@hawaii.rr.com

If you would like to mail anything, please use the Nakachi home address:

68-1815 Ho’oko Street
Waikoloa, HI 96738

We will endeavor to post updates as appropriate.

Club business inquiries should be directed to First Vice President Doug Vera Cruz via email at dougveracruz@gmail.com.
