Canoe and Halau Maintenance / Change in Mixed Maintenance Program Days

We are therefore looking for volunteers who may be able to help with maintenance in the upcoming weeks and months. Specifically we are looking to:

• Clean and do light maintenance on the canoes (to include sanding/varnishing the iakos)
• Clean and straighten up the inside of halau
• Do some landscaping around the halau
• Tidy up the beach area
• Various other duties

If you are at all available to help the club with these activities, please send us a quick email with your name & contact number to info@kaiopua.org so we may contact you for assistance. Please remember – for Kai ‘Opua to be the best club we can be includes more than just paddling & results. It also includes us working together. Please volunteer.

On another note, as you well know - the 2012 season is just a few short months away. Don’t wait until the last minute to get in paddling shape! Come out and join us at 5:00 pm Mondays and Thursdays and 6:45 am on Saturdays for the mixed maintenance program. (note the change to Thursdays and the new Saturday morning time). It’s a great time & workout!
